Fresh herbs from the grocery store or farmers market are more fun anflavorful than using dried ones. However, unless you do a lot of cooking, they often go bad before you’ve finished them and it's heart breaking to toss them out (because they're so good, and pricey!) Keeping herbs in the refrigerator can help, but this gadget is designed to keep them fresh even longer. Similar to a flower vase, the herb-keeper allows you to put the bottoms of the stems in water. You can also keep asparagus crisp in the keeper. They're available at cooking supply stores, Crate and Barrel, and Target.
Thanks, once again, to Ashley, for showing me the ways of the world.
