Last weekend I was in Florida visiting my dad, who happens to make the MOST delightful mojitos. Some are too sweet, to sour, too minty, to strong, and some just have too much "stuff" in the glass. These, however, are perfect and I wasn't leaving without the recipe!
1 shot white rum
1 shot glass full of fresh squeezed lime juice (this is key, do not substitute for bottled lime juice)
1 teaspoon of sugar
3-4 fresh mint leaves
Pour all the ingredients into to a liquid measuring cup, mix, and muddle the mint leaves. Fill a highball glass with ice and pour mixture over ice. Top off with lemon lime soda. Stir and garnish with a lime wedge.
