Naughty meets nice in these Boutique 9 platform heels in black leather with luxe woven leather and gold chain detail. (open the link for a closer view) I've been searching high and low for new pair of fabulous black heels that are, unlike so many others, "special." Mission accomplished!

Hanky Panky has new colors for fall and the Bright Rose is a standout must-have (Deep Lavender is a close second). It looks so good on and makes you feel bright and sexy. We love the low rise thongs and they're now available in petite!

These trousers brighten my day. I can envision mixing and mismatching, a starched white button down, a lightweight gray turtleneck, maybe even a burgundy red blouse or exactly what is shown, sweater/blazer combination. These trousers could possibly be my new gray this season!

Banana Republic has always been great for basics but these two are absolute must-haves! The first is the non-iron fitted sateen shirt (I bought it in black). It's really soft and perfect for work or play. It runs really so small though, so I don't recommend buying it online. I had to buy it two sizes larger than I usually wear.
Next is the black Martin skinny cropped pant. I bought the grey textured crop and got talked into the black ones and I'm so happy I did. The fit is amazing (crazy slimming), they completely hold their shape and color, and they're on sale! Looks like online supplies might be limited but again, they are well worth the trip to the mall.
Happy Labor Day and happy shopping!

In this economy, if you have a job, you're lucky, and if you're looking for one you have to be competitive. Now more than ever, we must take our careers, and ourselves seriously. This year fashion "gets it" and has given us a Fall/ Winter season that is sharp, sophisticated, and means business.
In: tailored suites, below-the-knee pencil skirts, opaque tights, men's wear, tweed, cashmere.
Out: casual Friday. Save it for Saturday!

Next in our series of what's hot and what's not for fall is one of our favorite accessories, watches!
In: thin leather strap watches with oval or rectangle faces. Search vintage jewelry or antique stores (or raid your mother or grandmother's jewelery box). They are full of the them and can usually be snatched up for great prices!
Out: Oversized watched with bling around the bezel. Think "less is more." All that flash is thing of the past!

Denim, of course, is always in style but the cut, fit, length, wash, and details are constantly changing. This fall we wanted to know, "what's in, out, and next?" We consulted some of our favorite style experts, magazines, and fashion blogs (that list is on it's way!), and this is what we found...
In- Dark solid washes, black, and grey. Out- Contrived horizontal distressed lines across the hip and washed out knees and upper thighs.
In- Straight legs, skinny, jeggings, perfect fit boot cuts, boyfriends, and high waist wide legs. Out- Bell Bottoms or flares and super low waist denim (no more exposed panties or cracks, woo hoo!)
Next- Patches. This fall look for riding style breeches with knee patches. J Brand (above) makes a really cute pair that's right on point with all that's in!
